Garden Boxes

We just finished up our 4 new garden boxes. They are 12’ long x 3’ wide x 2’ tall. It took about 12 yards of topsoil to fill all of them. That was a lot of shoveling dirt! We had to shovel it once into the wheelbarrow then again from the wheelbarrow to the garden box.

We are really excited to have them finished. The soil here is very thick clay and doesn’t do well with planting gardens. Our carrots last year were about an inch long.

Now we are on to our next project, staining the deck.

Those are awesome garden boxes! We have some but need to beef them up a bit as they are only about a foot tall.

Awesome boxes! That is A LOT of work. We only used 5 yards of dirt in our garden and that was enough shoveling for us. :)
